Understand the opening price, the mandatory service call charge and possible supplements before requesting a locksmith. All amounts are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
How your lockout price is calculated
The total is the opening charge plus the mandatory $30 service call charge, any applicable time or location surcharge, and taxes. Car opening starts at $110; residential door opening starts at $120. Commercial opening is priced after assessing the door and situation.
A $50–100 surcharge may apply depending on the time and location of the call. A starting price is not a promise of a fixed total for every vehicle, lock or door.
The final price is explained on site
The technician examines the situation after arriving and explains the full calculation before opening work begins. The vehicle, lock, door and circumstances determine the appropriate method and final charge.
The $30 service call charge is payable for a dispatched call regardless of whether opening work proceeds or access is restored. It is a separate charge for attending the call, not the price of opening a car or door.
Examples before tax
A car opening at the starting rate is $110 + $30 service call = $140 before tax, where no surcharge applies. If a $50 surcharge applies to that same starting rate, the calculation is $110 + $30 + $50 = $190 before tax.
A residential opening at the starting rate is $120 + $30 service call = $150 before tax, where no surcharge applies. With a $100 surcharge, that starting-rate example is $120 + $30 + $100 = $250 before tax. These examples illustrate the calculation, not guaranteed quotes.
Payment and questions before booking

Prices for keys, lock repairs and installations
Key cutting, car key replacement, programming, rekeying, repairs, new locks, safes and commercial access systems are priced according to the assessed work and required parts.
