A door can close while the keys are still inside, or you may find yourself unable to enter after returning home. Call and describe your door, lock and the circumstances. We provide residential lockout assistance for houses, apartments and condos.

Tell us whether you rent or own the home, whether the key is inside and whether the lock or door appears damaged. If building management or a landlord has relevant access information, have it available. The technician assesses the door and your authorization before opening work.

House door opening: what the price includes

Opening a residential door starts at $120 CAD, plus the mandatory $30 service call charge: a minimum of $150 before tax and applicable surcharges. The final price depends on the lock, door and situation. A $50–100 supplement may apply according to the time and location.

The complete price is explained on site before the opening work starts. The service call charge is payable even if opening work does not proceed or access is not restored. Starting prices are not a fixed quote for every door.

Assessment before opening your door

Door construction, lock type and condition all affect the appropriate entry method. We examine the situation before deciding how to proceed, and explain the approach and relevant risks before work begins.

Proof of occupancy and local coverage

We may ask for identification or proof that you live at, or are authorized to enter, the property. If these documents are inside, tell us when calling so the technician can assess how to verify authorization.

We serve Ottawa and Gatineau around the clock. Give the address, unit number and any access instructions when calling; arrival estimates depend on traffic and availability. English and French service is available. We accept cash, Interac e-Transfer and credit cards.
